If it's an SE then glass's guide trade in is £9070

M-sport would be a little more at £ 11,150

Bearing in mind the mileage along with the lack of auto / leather (essential on the 5 series), it's going to be a difficult car to shift.

At the moment I'd expect dealers to be £ 1-1.5K below book value for trade in.

It has to be said that this doesn't quite make sense.

Q1 / If it's a company car, then why is he selling it?

Q2 / If he is selling privately and wants the trade in value why doesn't he just trade it in?

I took it to mean that he currently runs it as his co.car, but its due for change so he can buy off company and then sell on, but he doesnt want it himself....??

Probably right, but he will have only done this because he thinks he can make a profit.

Defo only about 8k to the dealer but they will prob try and flatter him a little, but offering more and then giving less discount on the new one.

No one ever wants to complete a deal on their new pride and joy, when they have just had their trousers pulled down and been rogered by the dealer come part-ex time, so the dealer may offer the 10k - doesn't mean that is what the car is worth to a private punter.

These must be going through auctions all day long with that mileage and that money - surely the dealer won't put it on the forecourt with that mileage on it anyhow?

sorry

He thinks its a great car and is doing him a favour. That said i dont like the current owner a bit of a snake.I think he is trying to maximise the deal to his benefit no trade so better discount on his new e93 ,he has a white petrol e93 coming but his fleet buyer is insisting it has to be diesel ?? due to he is near 30 k miles pa ,

He also said that his budget is 33k for the new car and im guessing he need every penny to get the car he wants .

i will keep you posted it cost 29k when new
