It was very close even though the X5M won. In my book, these two are pretty equal in performance and a purchase choice comes down to personal preference.

Except, even with the X5M taking the drag races, they said the RS Q8 won due to the .02 difference in the 1/2 mile.

Also, what's the deal with doing the roll race in manual mode in the RS Q8 and in D in the X5M (forcing it to downshift)? They worried about losing the Audi sponsorship?

Whats with all these european reviewers doing drag races in wet weather? Can't they just postpone the day for a dry track?

Carwow drag races are like 50% wet lol.

None of this matters when its wet. It just tests the different all wheel drive traction systems.

The only reason the Audi keeps it super close is because it has arguably a better AWD wet traction system.

Also, they should put the RSQ8 versus the faster X6MC. Since the X6MC is about .1s faster than the X5MC in most tests.

Finally, that rolling race was completely idiotic. The Audi was in manual mode in the power band at 4K RPM and the BMW was in Automatic mode in 3rd gear at 2K RPM. Wtf kind of head to head is this trash?

Both are stupidly quick and there is really nothing between them from a speed perspective. Comes down to personal preference when choosing between them.

I was cross shopping the RSQ8 and there were 3 dealbreakers for me. All on the interior.

1. There was significantly less interior space for me as the driver compared to the X6MC.

2. I hated the all touch screen double interface that required so many inputs to get to an option and the lack of a wheel interface. It was also no where near as responsive as the BMW.

3. This one might be dumb, but its a serious game changer in terms of everyday QOL- The sirius XM radio on idrive 7 lists a a full menu of what is currently playing on every channel. So you don't have to go to each station to find out whats playing. With Audi, when looking at the Sirius XM menu, all you see is the channel and the genre of that channel

For example- On BMW it will say 51-BPM-Name of song and artist.

On the Audi it will say 51-BPM-Electronic dance music

So with the Audi I need to go into each station to see whats playing and if I like it.

I know, its stupid and trivial, but I will never get another car that doesn't have this live feature like the BMW has LOL.

I guess there was a 4th deal breaker. The scumbag Audi dealer wanted 20K OVER sticker on the RSQ8 because "there aren't any left" Complete scum bags.

Postponing a drag race until good weather in England would give you about 6 days worth of videos for the whole year! 😂

I’d have the Audi, I think it is better resolved in a “coupe” format than the X6, and the big one is I love frameless doors. The rear tail lighting layout on the Audi is nice too, my opinion only.

The only Audi I'd prefer to it's BMW counterpart…though Id take the RS4 over the G80 M as well.

Carwow showed X6m destroy rsq8

Overall rsq8 is just not as good as x5m in anything IMO, looks interior and exterior and urus detuned motor is like step child

Exactly, the X6M keeps up with an Urus just fine, it absolutely crushes the weaker version in the RSq8.

Looked like he didn't let launch control fully build boost either. Like you should let the car hold at 4k for a second or so before launching. The first time, I don't know if they weren't using LC, but it looked like he either brake boosted or didn't let LC do it's thing (he launched around 2500rpm). The rolling race was also dumb, as mentioned above.
