Hi all, I'm inquiring about the possibilities of using the new wheel sensors on F-Chassis. Has anyone any insight?

I haven't begun research, so even specs have not been determined.

Though this is the case, it would be pretty nice to see if this is possible, given the new technology that 'looks' apparent from Shraders' "solution".

My reason for asking. Do these pose a benefit to pre-G cars?

Let me know if anybody's got 5 bills. Since I'm low on budget, but if curious, I could perform the test. Lol

No benefits as there was no benefits/improvements when they changed it on the F series on a later production date. They do the same work, just programmed on different frequency.

Exactly. What sort of magical ability are they expected to have in the chord of G that they didn’t have in the chord of F? Are they cheaper?
They’re still gonna do two things, read pressure and read temp and broadcast on a specific frequency.

For all I know they are the same Tim’s sensors from the 2014 on f30. O see no reason for BMW to have changed them yet again after only 4-5 years.

Even if they did something different or reported additional data, the older iDrive software in the F-series cars wouldn't be able to do anything with it.

So what could have been BMW's justification for moving on to these new sensors despite frequency difference or I-Drive incompatibility?

Assuming they have different frequencies and supposed I-Drive compatibility difference, could this be all that they do? Just, to hold so-called "new technology" over the old?

I wonder.

Maybe smaller size, less weight, longer battery life, more reliable, pervious vendor quit making them or lost the contract with BMW? No telling.
