Tyre size and pressure F30 318d m sport 624m
Evening guys
I have a question about the wheels and tires on my BMW F30 318d 2013 m sport. I have a set of BMW 624m which i believe to be originals (not sure how you check) Thinking of getting some new tires all round (advice on best ones to buy always appreciated) The tire sizes i have are Front 235/35 ZR19 Rear 265/30ZR19 Now the next thing is tires pressures.I checked online but can only find pressures for Front 225/35R19 Rear 255/30R19 Does this mean i have the wrong size tires? If so what should i get? Cheers for any info. |

from your current setup, i speculate you have reps since 265 is quite oversized for 19x8 rear and the inner tire would be close to rubbing at ET52. OEM tire diameters for F3/4(except F34)-series is 26" the staggered tire sizes you should be using on your reps are 225/40/19 & 255/35/19(oem diameters) or 235/40/19 & 265/35/19 |

Aloha may be right if they are reps, however bmw did sell a 19 inch version for 2 series and they had 8.5 rears if I recall correctly, I have the 20's for my 4er.
My current specs are 255/35/20 Continental dws 06 non plus for tire size as I had these tires laying around from another set. Slightest rub on lock, but not enough for me to really care As for op, to check if they are oem or not there an engraved little "square" of information on the barrel of the rim. I say square but it's really just some text that happens to make a square shape The tires you have now are good 265 may be bulging just a tad, but the rolling diameter is within the 1%, and as for tire pressures, I do 34-35psi front and 37-38psi rears with my highway driving, under 100 mph so 2.34-2.41 bar front, 2.55-2.62 bar rear, sub 160kph speeds. You can raise them for over that but that's where my knowledge stops lol. The extra air in the tires helps decreasing rolling resistance and ever so slightly improve my mpg around city, with slightly stickier tires and wider contact patch than stock, my mileage went down but not too much Hope that helps! Edit: here is a thread for someone asking if their set was legit, https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1594109

Cheers for the info guys
When you say barrel of the rim do you mean behind the spokes? Would i be better off changing the wheels or just buying smaller tires? |

As for wheel size yours is fine. I know the 3 series has a slightly smaller wheel well if I'm not mistaken so just make sure your rolling diameter is below 26.5 inches~ish lol I'd say go for square set up just so you can rotate around easier, 245/40/19 is just a little bigger than that 26.5 I mentioned earlier, being 26.7, but you get a good wide contact patch along with some tire meat to smoothen out bumps better than the lower profile 30 and 35's you have now. If that's not your speed, increase profiles and keeping the same sizes (235/40 front 265/35 rears) is still a great combo!
