Hands-free Trunk open/close
Anyone able to offer any tips on using this feature? I have a 2022 BMW X6 M50i and have not been able to get it to work. Have watched YouTube videos and still no luck.

If you have a factory trailer receiver hitch, you won't have this feature. At least not in the U.S.

Directly under the roundel... do a quick soccer/futbol kick or the equivalent a kick from the classic video game kung-fu and it should open. If the key is next to your phone or you have a trailer hitch it will not work. If neither work then proceed to the SFII bonus round:

I am a week 32 build...40 w/sport pack/no hitch. It works - sporadically - for me. Comfort access. More a gimmick. Like the digital key card/digital Iphone key. IMHO

I've had comfort access on three BMWs, and find it quite useful...I essentially never take the fob out of my pocket unless I want to open the vehicle for passengers that might get there before I do. And, usually, I still don't. Grabbing a passenger door will open all of them, if you need it, rather than just the driver's door.
The keycard can be useful at the beach or a water park, or for kayaking, out ofr a run, a walk in the rain, or similar things...you can put it in a pocket, get it wet, and it doesn't take up much room, unlike the fob. |
