Hi All,

Super new to the concept of tuning and am considering to have a local shop do an DME unlock and tune using bootmod3 (and if I purchase a license I'll be able to fiddle with the settings). Otherwise stock but coded 2020 X5 M50i.

The racechip also seems like a viable alternative.

Anyone have any experience with either? Which would you recommend? Should I also do downpipes?

Or is this all a bad idea that will just bring issues with the dealer? In the past I'd never think the dealer would give me trouble but since covid the entire staff basically turned over, I lost my connections, and its a sh*t show over there...
