Service appointments

When you call your dealer to make a service appointment, do you call back a day or a couple days before the appointment date to confirm?

Mine sends me an email with the confirmation. and the day before the appointment as well. can also do the appointments on line with my local dealership.

My dealer works on e-mail. Usually will make the appointment by e-mail, and the dealer calls back and confirms my requested appointment. Never had any problems, but I have been using the same service department for 10 years.

i ether get a call or e/mail.....or both.....my car gets picked up @ my house or work by my dealer...don't need to drive to the dealer...they also drop off a loaner while they have my car.....

The last time I made an appointment over the phone I got a email confirmation. This time I didn't get anything. I have been trying to call them but they never seem to pick up. Are the service centers open this friday, the day after Thanksgiving?

Ditto, it also states loaner car.....and I get around 3 email reminders....system generated...

Got to call 3 weeks in advance to get a loaner car...otherwise less than a week notice.
