Loaner during service

Has anyone else had trouble getting a loaner car while having their M5 serviced? My dealer indicated they had sold their whole Fleet of loaner cars leaving about 10 for customers. I had to wait eight weeks to get an appointment for my 12 month service.g

my wait's range from 4-6 weeks for loaners. My dealer is also small compared to its service area. They spent the money on remodeling the sales floor but didn't do anything to the service bays or simply hire more people. My favorite part is its always 2-3 days after i drop it off before they even start the work.

I have a G30 and within the last 2 weeks, contacted two different dealers in NY and they both advised if I want a Loaner, the appointments are about a month out.
As mentioned, they sold most of them. Crazy.

No problem here… usually a day or two wait at the most and usually get a X3M as a loaner or a 5 series…. Very lucky, hearing your experiences.

Glad it's not just me. I caved & made an appointment for next week, without a loaner.

One month wait for me to get my new PS4S tires put on. No loaner. Just wait in lobby.

At least you get to wait. My SA only lets 2 techs work on my M which means a simple oil change takes 2 days usually. So it's always a loaner for me. Don't get me wrong I appreciate the consideration. But at the same time I mean it's an oil change. It's the same spot and oil as any other modern BMW V8. Maybe it's time to try some better techs.

You might as well have an Indy shop do it for you, especially if just an oil change. I have my shop change my oil every 5K.

It was more than an oil change that needed done and let's be real here, BMW is not getting anything done in 20 minutes

Well I only have the info provided to me, so yeah... also mine does do oil changes rather quickly about 20 mins or so and if I take it to my own shop I can go in and out in less than 10. After break in I'm probably never gonna go to dealership unless it's a warranty issue honestly

That's awesome! Wish the dealership here was that quick. When I asked about a loaner was more out of curiosity because of this thread. I ended up dropping my car off Friday morning and they called me Saturday afternoon saying it was done.

That's still an extremely long turnaround lol... I find that if you tell them you're waiting for the car they take that as a priority and get yours done first, I've dropped my car off before and just a simple diagnostic took almost a week lol

My dealer sang the same tune to me so I'm just in a holding pattern right now... It's ridiculous.
