This PDF is for the complete retrofit kit for cars not prewired for the alarm. I had a different set of instructions for cars prewired for the alarm.

How much did you pay for the alarm and where did you get it from?

Can you post the instructions for cars pre-wired? Looking at the other instructions for cars not pre-wired, I'm not so sure I want to do this kind of install.

Thats what I said in my previous post. Then when I thought about it later, I thought it could be for non US based models, but I never went back and looked at the instructions to see if they had an origin identification on them.

I just got my alarm.
The instructions that came with the alarm are for pre-wired vehicles.
In fact, the instructions indicate that all US 330s come prewired.
If interested, I can scan the instructions and post them in pdf format.

So you have a US version of the install instructions? How different are they from the ones currently posted?

They are almost the same as the unofficial instructions
posted. They follow the same order:
-interior module
-hood switch
- siren
The ones I got with the alarm have illustrations and sometimes
a few more details on some steps.

It also talks about upgrading the software first and then installing
the components. But everyone here has done the opposite.

This post is quite old but hope someone is still around. I am checking for the hood switch or the cable for it on my X1 E84 but no luck. I checked all possible locations but could not find a wire. I still have hood open sign on the screen. Can anybody help me to find the connector cable for this switch.

Thanks in advance.
