Dealer ordered my plates 8/6 on (or next business day) and I am still waiting.

Anybody here take delivery relatively the same time and have theirs yet? TY

Odd- I had mine in about 2 weeks. Much faster than I expected!

Bought the car 9/17, received plates, stickers & registration about a week and a half ago. Just standard default CA plates, nothing custom.

So normally during my 3 to 4 cars a year purchases, the DMV has updated via a KSR pull both the plates and legal owner assignment within 5 business days of the purchase (I have access to see) but the plates take about a week longer to actually show up.

But with my recent M8 buy (Aug) my plates didnt show so I connected to the DMV and found out the dealer didnt remit all the fees so the plate and title process was rejected. So I called the dealer and they fixed it but if I didnt Ill guess I would not have got my plates, quite possibly until I complained.

Step son last night says I have something for you .... He snagged them out of the mail on Saturday.

Now I can go to Cal AAA and start the process to exchange my registration over to my vanity plates.

I saw a CA black plate with white font color at Diamond Jamboree in Irvine on a tesla? anyone ever see this? i've only seen black with yellow font. anyone know how to order the white font?

They're not legit/legal. People make them and sell them online (including on Etsy).
The closest thing that's legal is the electronic plate (reviver.com).

Got mine yesterday. Took delivery on 11/26, so that's a little over a month.

Agree. Follow up. Same thing happened to me. My temp plates were about to expire after waiting 6 weeks. Followed up and there was an error in the paperwork which they didn’t catch. Got my new plates the exact day the temps were expiring. 2 months!

Ordered my black, personalized plate 10/11/22. Anxiously check the mail everyday to no avail. Still no notice that it has arrived and is waiting at the DMV as of 1/11/2023. I believe the website said 4-8 week lead time when I ordered it. It might have said 8-12. I forget.

Took delivery last November. Got my non-personalized plates in about a month.

Still waiting on the custom plates, it'll probably be another month.
