But if these aren't OEM, dealers won't bother to reset the LCM to turn off the error code...that would be my guess.

I would have no problem paying $400for a set of LED "white lines" ....as long as they were problem free

I know for sure the whitelines are photoshopped.

But how old is that ad from FKautomotive? I've seen that thing like 5 months ago. When are they going to release that thing?

i know scions have led taillights, but i dont think the new civic has them. the taillights are made to look like leds but i believe they consist of a regular halogen bulb. the new accords on the other hand, i am sure have led taillights.

Incorrect as the new Civic HYBRID comes with LED's and the new Rav 4 does also as I know because the in laws just got one.

i found that funny as well as the outgoing E46 330 had a full LED assembly and you would think that the next gen chassis would continue that...but nope it doesnt...absolutely puzzling.

Um.... I hate to resurect a dead thread (actually, that is exactly the goal here) but have there been any updates in regards to the e90 LED taillight situation?

I have seen a video on YouTube
where I assume it was simply the bulbs that '06e90rostik' changed to the LED type. Does anyone have any further information on this? Has anyone actually done this? Sounds fairly simple: buy the bulb, replace old incandescent with new LED bulb, throw in a capacitator... no biggie

LED tails are so mainstream which is why BMW doesn't offer them any more. If you look closely your car has LED rods. Or if you really want LED tails you can get them on Civic's.

LEDs do have some definite advantages. They can be brighter, don't use as much current, are instant on/instant off, and look cool. My favorite ones are on the Cadillac (de Ville?). With some creative reflective plastic, one cannot even tell they are LEDs except that they flash on and off instantly, but illuminate the entire tail light.

And that means that it is almost impossible for all of the to burn out at the same time = safer = BMWs need LED tails, for 50k, I am sure they can manage...
