Check Engine Light (CEL) - Drivetrain malfunction?

Received this message on the infotainment 2 hours after leaving the dealership to clear the Emergency Call System Malfunction, which was just replacing the battery:

Drivetrain malfunction: you can continue driving. No roadside assistance is required. Reduced engine performance. Have the problem checked by your service center.

With that there was also the check engine light which remains on.

The drivetrain malfunction message is no long appearing.

Car is a 23 M5 Comp with 1,700 miles on the clock.

Despite the message performance doesn't seem affected — will the check engine light auto resolve?

Only thing I can possibly think that would've caused this was the fuel got pretty low. It was at 29miles remaining then dropped to 4, about a mile later and then to — about 1/2 mile later as I pulled up to the pump.

I had a trip planned to leave tomorrow… 300 miles can I go? Can this wait / be handled Monday at a dealer at the destination, or would you park the car and leave it alone?
