Just watched the instagram post. I´m a bit confused, i don´t remember seeing a bottom part DRL in the closed room at the Brussels autoshow.

In the instagram post you can clearly see a bottom DRL part being lit up before the main beams come on.

The illumination of the BMW Kidney looks modern- maybe the most classic looking LCI we’ve seen.

Imagine if the x7 had gotten this treatment. I think I would have jumped at the 3 row suv. BMW alienated me- x5 it shall be. At this point I’ll move to the LCI if the soft close doors and air suspension return to the 40i…

That’s the location of the cornering lamp on my ‘21. I’m not sure if that lights up during the start-up sequence though.

Yes, on the current X5 that is where the mirror is for the cornering lights so it could be a reflection.

Quite true. Yet driving web traffic, likes, impressions isn’t the same as engineering the vehicle for success. X5 is the best selling model in the entire BMW lineup. Let’s collectively wish BMW not to mess with success.
