So it’s confirmed that the 2024 will cost about 10-12k more for the same options compared to the pre LCI?!

Wow combined this with zero deals and incentives I guess I’m keeping my pre LCI for a bit longer.

I just can’t see myself paying well over 2K lease for an suv. Especially when I know they were going for sub 1500 before.

I ran numbers quick and it appears only roughly 5k more. They include the competition package now standard. So have to account for that not the base model.

I posted this in the pricing section: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1998208

But my build will now cost me $8,750 more.

2023: $133,745
2024: $142,495
Total difference: +$8,750

Breakdown of difference:
MSRP: +$13,500
Competition Package: -$9,300
Full Merino Leather: +$3,500
Executive Package: +$400
Brake Caliper Colors: +$650

Charging for full merino leather and brake caliper color seems like a mistake... Even the UK configurator shows that as standard.

The entire market is up its the new normal. People need to deal with the pay to play.

How much is a gallon of milk today vs what it was in 2019 or any fast food?

At some point everyone will need a new car and it is what it is.

Interest rates could easily be had a 0-1% 16 months ago ...today it's 6-9% with good credit .

lol too bad thats not the price for the X6M.

I posted this elsewhere, but here was my difference:
My same build 2023 vs 2024 (both prices include $995 destination charge).
2023: $133,745
2024: $142,495
Total difference: +$8,750

Breakdown of difference:
MSRP: +$13,500
Competition Package: -$9,300

Executive Package: +$400
Brake Caliper Colors: +$650

BMW really snuck in that extra few thousand by making full leather a paid option and charging for brake caliper colors.

Yep I'm still buying the car and I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I just hate that they snuck in some of the price increases.

Yep! They are really shitting the bed with their color options lately. See the M2. Might be a tactical move to make a certain percentage of people upgrade to an individual color.

I agree. I have had my 2022 X5MC for a year and a half. It is amazing. So good for its size and weight. Great daily driver.

Seems like the snowball effect from Covid getting bigger and bigger.
Soon minimum wage in California will be $30/hr.

And businesses will close because they can't afford to pay a $30 an hour wage.

There's probably little we can do about food, however consumers can fight back at rapidly increasing home and auto prices by not buying if not absolutely necessary (I know, tall order). When consumers pay exorbitant prices with out protest, then companies continue to raise them. Typically these kinds of prices rarely drop once raised, except for during a 2008 like financial crisis or extremely low sales. During periods of low sales manufacturers will usually offer rebates and other incentives to move inventory. While automobile prices may not immediately return to yester-year's prices, heavy rebates can soften the load until they do. Lots of trickle down effects here, and I only considered the consumer.

Maybe, or businesses raise their prices and pass on to the customers, and thus continues to make everything more expensive.
