With the M package is really better. It’s ugly xLine, here it looks like a X1

I still cant believe BMW has the balls to make an $80K SUV with unpainted plastic moldings on the bumpers and wheel arches.

That screams mazda and toyota quality

all marketing hype to make us buy m sport package.
Mercedes do it too alone with an amg package. Just to suck more money.

Unfortunately we fall for it too haha

Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic sure does look great in pictures!

So does Isle Of Man Green for that matter!

I really like Blue Ridge Mountain; I chose Phytonic Blue for my 45e but would have chosen Blue Ridge (or that green) if it had been available.

As for xLine, I also picked that package. The visual stuff on the M Sport wasn't worth it to me, and I wanted 19" wheels. I wanted practicality (well, as practical as a BMW can get). I tow, I drive dirt roads, and generally don't want to worry about getting stuff dirty or dinged. The plastic wheel arches and lower rocker panel fit my needs.

I put that money towards other packages. Choices are good.

I think this is a fantastic colour. Does it resemble something BMW call "petrol blue", or others might have call "gun metal blue".

In any case, I think it's beautiful.

Ugh, I agree. I refuse to buy a vehicle with black matte plastic on it. MB has started doing the same thing, as well, if you don't get AMG packages, and on some models, like the GLC, they all have black plastic arch moulding - its ghastly. I really think that a "fully painted" vehicle is just something you should be able to expect from a luxury car maker.

That's why I went with a Black paint color...you don't really notice the black plastic moldings.

I do think xline LCI look a lot better than xline pre LCI. MSport X6, I am kind of in the middle. I never feel the X6 shape. I want to see X5 Msport LCI.

I am ok with the block plastic molding tho. And by the time you get the car to $80K, those won't be unpainted black anymore

I love my wheel arches black, matte and unpainted. Always had them that way. Gives at least some utilitarian look to the car and is marginally easier to maintain (they scratch equally easily but when scratched, they don’t look as awful as those painted ones). I’d even pay extra to have this feature if I had to.

But something is telling me that this is not about matte vs glossy but rather about “basic” and “luxury”. Same as rougher and softer leather - each of them makes more sense for its particular target group yet one is considered better than the other by a wider audience just because it’s more expensive. Yikes, a basic leather. Yikes, smaller wheels. Yikes, unpainted bumper parts.
