I have seen a few regular members that show they are from Denver in their profile. I don't tend to see many on the road, in fact I have seen 3 in the last year.
This regional board is just super quiet so not a lot of regular traffic checking posts here. |

On order! Should be here by mid-March.
There are a couple of us... but it's way too quiet. We need to grace the forum with some killer M3 pics with the mountains behind. |

Awesome picture. My 09 IB E90 is waiting at the port for a ship. We do need to organize a run up in the mountains once a couple of us get through our break in period.

+10. Nice ride, Signes! Look forward to the Denver bunch getting together as James said.
Checked on my order - production complete on 1/29. Hope to have by mid-March. We'll have to plan a "low rev" trip for us "newbies" until the 1200 miles are up, then full run up in the hills! Looking forward to it. Last edited by ColoCane; 01-25-2009 at 08:35 PM.. |

I like the sound of a group drive. The RM chapter of BMWCCA does a road trip through the mountains each May I think, before all the crowds show up in places like Rocky Mountain National Park. Going to try and make that this year but will also be up for other drives.

Thanks again for tint info, Niels. Have you had any issues with your DCT? The long threads about the 2nd gear lag on a downshift continue...
Signes - I was reading the BMWCCA website and thinking of joining. Is the Rocky Mountain chapter worth it, fun, etc.? Look forward to a group ride. Will be fun. |

I joined the CCA really just for the discounts on parts and for the deal they give you if you buy a new BMW (after you have been in for a year). They have some good events, including the drives and track days/driving events, but I couldn't do the latter previously because my E46 M was a vert. Now with the E90 I am ready to go so expect I will try one or two this year if time allows.

I originally had a 2008, pre-DCT software update.
There were a few occasions on the track when the car was really being pushed and the transmission didnt want to downshift immediately (ie. turn 1 @ PMI, 130+mph). After the software update, the car was night and day different. Zero issues whatsover. I now have an 09, and it has the newest DCT software. From daily driving, I have had zero complaints. I have no reports from the track as the car only has 800 miles on it. I recommend joining the RM CCA chapter. There are several worthwhile events (driving schools, bimmer+burger nights, etc). Quote:

I just joined both BMW CCA and the Rocky Mountain chapter for two years tonight. I'm looking forward to the driving school in May since BMW dropped the M school incentive.

Now the phone number says "Awaiting transport" when it said "in transit" for two days. I guess they unloaded it off the ship. I'm calling my dealer...

Plus on the drive home I got to hit "Tail of the Dragon" and the Skyway. I would say they are some of the best roads in the US! http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ |

When it comes time for service at Murray, I HIGHLY recommend Billy Lindauer. He is an excellent SA who is on top of his job. He is an enthusiast as well and will for sure take care of you and the car!
