All Seasons for 23s?

Still on the fence but as expected the first wave of XMs are still sitting on dealer lots for months. I’m getting ridiculously large discount/incentive offers combined with buyout offers on my 2 year old M3 which effectively means I only paid interest and no depreciation for 2 years. That’s a first for me.

Does anyone know if there are All Seasons for the 23s? Couldn’t find any and not looking to purchase a winter set of rims so that would be a deal breaker for me.

I searched extensively and couldn't find any. That's why I went with the 22s.

Did you get them? They fit the 22s? Did you notice a softer ride than the summer tires?

I have not yet. It is on my short list to do sometime in the next few weeks as it is starting to get cold in the Northeast.

Will update once I have them on.

I’m currently working with a sales advisor on a 2024 XM. Just out of curiosity, I started looking at discount tire and tirerack.com last night to see how much tire replacements would cost me later on, and neither of them have any 23” tires in stock for this vehicle - summer or all season. Is this just a supply constraint issue, or is this what all of you are running into?

I would even consider putting 22s on them right away and saving the 23s for the lease turn in. I’m also slightly worried about the ride on 23” tires without air suspension. The potholes in Houston are absolute wheel killers with low profile wheels/tires.

I had zero luck finding all seasons to fit the 23's. Which is why I went with the 22's.

That being said, the only decent A/S I could find for the 22's is what i listed, above.

Full transparency - I never explored any winter tires/wheels as an option for my XM.

What about summer tires? I can’t seem to find any available tires for this wheel size. I’m in Texas, so summer tires are good year round.

Haven't looked for summers. Planned on taking the OEM tires off and holding until lease end. Any tire needs I have between now and then will be A/S.

Yup, I think that’s why I will plan to do too if this lease deal goes through. The Pirelli rears are about $700 each retail!

Doesn’t matter now. The deal is completely off the table. Their trade-in offer on my ‘23 iX M60 ($120k MSRP) was so poor, that I would be taking a net loss of 33% (or $40k) in only nine months of ownership and with only 2,824 miles. The sales price and lease terms were also bad that I would have to be a complete idiot to have taken either side of the transaction.

The sales manager told me yesterday, and I quote “We don’t need to discount vehicles at the dealership because our customers just pay the sticker.” I’ve never been treated so rudely by a dealership in my entire life and it took me two days of outgoing phone calls just to get the numbers from them. The sales rep wasn’t even remotely interested in the deal and wouldn’t even return my calls or texts.

Maybe next year.

Feeling the same way on the XM, used ones with 2K miles on them selling on the 120s now… Market has taken a real hit but I am noticing different localities feeling it different, some, like you said, have customers still paying sticker.

Just curious if anyone has purchased any replacement 23” tires yet. I’m curious what you ended up with and what you paid. Thanks.

Needed a couple a few months ago, dealer gave them to me at cost at the time, which was like $800 and change each..

My wife’s X7 also on same 23s and we just got her one and it was only $500 and change.. Maybe they are coming down, did not look into it in detail but wanted to share..

Thanks man. Just want to know what I got myself into now that I actually own one of these with those same wheels.

Reviving this thread. Looks like there are no all-seasons for the 23s but wanted to see if anyone has put them on the 22s?

I just ordered a staggered set of the 22s with Pirelli Scorpions on them for the winter. About $5.5k all in for the set. I’m hoping that by switching back and forth, I can stretch the summers through the end of my lease and then sell the winter set. New set of 23s will be about the same and I can just swap back and forth easy enough at home each winter.

It’s a thought but even if you drive extremely conservative it’s unlikely, unless keeping miles very low.. With aggressive driving from time to time mine generally need to be replaced every 8-10K miles, my wife, who is fairly conservative is around 13-15K

Well, none of us bought this vehicle because of its economic value. It’s painful to think I’ll have to spend over $4,000 to replace these 23” performance tires. Luckily in Texas we don’t have to worry about winter tires.

Update: finally found a set on tirerack.com for $2,600. That’s still a lot of effing money for just a set of tires!
