6 month tire wear on XM!

Just checked the stock tires on my XM for wear and the indicators are literally almost flush lol…

Never seen wear this fast! Anyone else seeing similar?!

Same here, the wear is insane. Due to the weight I think.

Sure it’s not the driving style? They are a softer compound because of the style of tire

I have a 2023 X7 with the same tires, my wife’s car.. It’s only 300 pounds lighter than the XM and they are holding up much better than my XM tires :-)

That’s pretty crazy considering my wife drives it daily and lightly…

In contrast i drive an M6 and those stock performance tires easily last 20k miles under normal driving…

Perhaps opting for a different brand from stock… would improve quality.

My XM came stock with the 22” continental see attached for full range of stock tire specs

I was just thinking about this.. I’m considering trading in my ix for an Xm and I drive 60 miles round trip for work in LA (95% highways ) and was wondering if the 22’s would be a better idea..(I love how the 23’s look though)
The IX I drive it like I stole it. I’m on my second set of tires with almost 28,000 miles.

Similar weight, similar horsepower - but even more so on the XM. It’s just physics. As you know, I came from an iX M60 and I’m of the opinion that if you can afford the vehicle, you can afford the tires. Get the 23s if you think they look better. I certainly think they do.

My Taycan needs new fronts soon, just a hair over 8,000 miles and one year of driving on them. Heavy vehicles eat tires.

I appreciate your feedback as always .. It’s just that I drive a lot… And I get a lot of flat tires. So I’m trying to be proactive. lol
if it wasn’t just the worry of tires, it’s the rims that I’ve heard or having issues. Los Angeles is not friendly to tires or rims. Luckily, I’ve never had any issue with rims in my Just several flats.

I live in Houston where there are potholes everywhere. This was a huge issue when I had run flat 20” tires on my M550. When I switched to conventional tires, everything improved significantly.

With that being said, I haven’t had any issues with my XM’s 23s. Note that you will feel absolutely everything in this vehicle which is completely backwards from an iX with air suspension.
