Discounts off MSRP

Looking to order a 540i and was curious if anyone has gotten any deals off of MSRP. If so would you be willing to share?

Built one on the BMW USA website and it came out to $79,150. Curious how much I could expect to get off of any with it being a new model year.

Don't know if you are interested in buying from out of state dealers. Usually out of state dealers discount range from anywhere from 7-10%.

For the last 10+ years I always buy from out of state, then either ship or drive back.

if you are interested, I can give you the contact of my dealer in Portland.

before I buy any car, I always shop around for prices from other cities or states. once I get the lowest one that I was satisfied with, I bought the quote to my local dealers. If they matched the offers, I would just buy locally. For my last 6 cars/SUVs, all out-of-state offers were matched(or beaten) by my local dealers that way.

although... for extended factory warranties, I have always purchased from out-of-state dealers(including the most recent one from a BMW finance manager who posts on Bimmerpost). Somehow local dealers can never match the discounts on factory extended warranties... not really sure why?

If you are leasing, use a broker to get discounted pricing

holy cow... that's incredible!

$12500 is more than enough to buy the BMW F 900 R that I have my eyes for a while!

it's like buy a BMW car, get a BMW motorcycle for free BOGO deal!

I also got $12,500 off my lease. Combo of the 7500 credit, loyalty, military, and a few thousand off the MSRP from the dealer.

I used data from leasehackr to come prepared and it was pretty painless.

In the northeast, you should walk for any deal below 4% off MSRP. With a broker, 6-8% is the norm. Loyalty is $1K or $1.5K, I forget. $7,500 from the Feds.

for those who finance instead of lease, what kind of rates does BMW Financial have these days?

when I got my X1 back in April of this year, they offered me 6.99%. I told them that I was going with my credit union which offered me 1.69% for 72-month loan. I showed the approval email to my BMW dealer's finance manager. Somehow she was able to get BMW Financial to match that. Not really sure how. Now that I think about it, I should have asked for an even lower rate than 1.69%. I didn't even know that car manufacturer's own financing arm matched credit union or bank rates.

my credit union's current rate for $50k-$100k new car 48-72 months is at 3.19%

membership only open for employees and retirees of my employer B----- P-------.(no, not British Petroleum ) kind of stupid because they don't even allow membership for family(parents or kids) they also have stupid(literally) employees who told me that Washington, District of Columbia(DC) driver's license was considered a foreign driver's license... as in Columbia the country in South America.
