Control MPE Valves with VSC-2. Confirmed?
My MPE valves will NOT stay open with the BT controller. I have a proper connection, new battery, tried a reset, and repair. Every step I can find did not work. Within 5 minutes, the controller will shut the valves. Sucks. So as of now, I have the valves full open on the MPE. Which is another issue during cold start and dealing with the extra drone.
I found a few posts the VSC-2 will work. Can anybody confirm this? Based on the threads I found, its straight plug and play to the MPE, then program into your homelink. Not the smoothest, but hey, if its works I'll take it. Can anybody else confirm this? https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...C-2+MPE&page=4 I got the VSC-2 installed and can confirm that it work perfectly with the OG N55 M2 MPE. I ordered it with Default Close and Active Open oriantation. This is the more OEM way IMO. Cold start in the morning is not super loud and open with the garage opener bottom under the mirror - much better than the stupid BT controller that you need to decide whether need to find a place to store it or lose a cup holder. 100% plug and play and I am super happy with this mod. I assume there is zero need for the Bluetooth controller but do you still need the Bluetooth module powered on in the trunk? For my N55 M2 MPE, the standard wiring off their website worked perfectly for me. The length is just enough. I installed it myself and toke me 15min. Yes, all the stock wirings and modules that came with the MPE are still required.

I have the vsc-2 on the m2cs and this thing works flawlessly. Install is easy, no cutting, and can do it without a lift.
The home link integration is nothing to be worried about. You just program the mobile controller that’s included, to home link. Its also optional. Regarding the application for the n55. Looks like you will need a vsc-1 (single valve) instead of the vsc-2 (double valve). Just confirm how many valves you have on your exhaust and buy accordingly. Install will be even quicker with a single valve. https://www.cgprecision.com/#!/2016-...ion/c/34601206 Regardless, I highly recommend this controller. It works like a champ and have had zero problems with homelink connection. |

Thanks for the validation on the controller.
The n55 MPE uses two actuators, bypassing the stock single controller.
