[VIC] Which dealer?!

Hey guys

New member from VIC here, fell in love with the 135 at the Melb motor show and now looking to place an order. Meeting with a dealer from Bib Stilwell on saturday to talk some numbers, but as I'm coming from an Audi background (currently driving a 2007 TT), just wondering if there's any dealers I should avoid like a kia, or a particularly good one I should drop in and say hi.

Thinking of the coupe, but have recently discovered the 135 engine is in the 'vert (bloody salesman said it didn't come in the convertible form at the motorshow! ) Wondering how it'll affect the rigidity of the car, but as the car is for the missus as well as me, I suspect it'll require a test drive before ordering.

Cheers for your advice guys

Get a price from Bib and then come and talk to me. I may be able to help you out...but then again sounds like you won't be ordering for another 2 months if you need to test drive. I don't believe there will be vehicles before end of May.

What are you doing with your TT? I may have a buyer for you if you want to sell it now...

Thanks for the offer Way. I'm in no rush for the 135, infact I've got to keep the TT until december for a few reasons, so waiting for the test drive and then delivery is no biggy, the APR TT goes alright, thinking about a private sale. Also with the corp program so been told $4k off + 3 yrs free servicing off the best negotiated price. I'm not expecting to be able to negotiate much off the RRP of a 135 though.

ps. you're not from the vortex are you?

Yup smarm, it's WAY from Vortex alright. Half the guys here are from Vortex! Seriously, 135i is stealing A LOT of GTI, R32 and TT buyers!

Someone else from the Tex just sold his R32 and is potentially looking for a slightly used TT. By Dec, you will be able to get much better than the corp program price. Talk to me when you are ready. I know BMW Melb guys very well!

Haha, thanks for the offer Way. Appears to be a lot of GTI/R32 selling going on at the moment. Hopefully the 135 wait list doesn't go the way of the GTI wait list in it's prime (wasn't it about 12 months at one stage!?!!)

If I'm getting a december delivery, then gotta hold onto the TT until then as we're also selling the GF's peugot GTI (it just wasn't being used). Doesn't appear to be much depreaciation on the TT at this stage, thanks to Audi only bringing in relatively small numbers of the car. Few mates have been waiting on their delivery dates for a few months now.

Also, just to confirm.... there's no dual-clutch variant is there? That's M3 only?

It's gonna suck going from DSG to a traditional slushbox.

Haha I have given up on trying to convince my wife too. That's why I had to buy the GTI DSG so that I can have an "Auto" that is fun and fast anyway. She will be happy that the C63 is auto also.

Driving a C63 next weekend. Also looking forward to the AMG drive day at Sandown a few days after.

C63 is pretty damn tempting as a 'family' car.

Bugger, that must be disappointing for you...

Got a good mate/colleague who's put money down for one. They've given him a C63 for the weekend and then a few tickets to the Drive Day, he's been nice enough to drag me along.

They didn't offer any tickets up to the AMG day @ Bathurst? I heard everyone who had money down for that got a call up for tickets

I'd be talking to your dealer Way.....

Do you know which dealership your friend went through? We bought two C63 too, not just one...

I talked to my dealer yesterday. He reckons that Sandown day doesn't have C63. He is going to check, and if it has I am going according to him. What did your friend say? If he is getting it for a weekend, can I meet up the check the car out? I have never seen the car in person let alone drive it!

Way: check your PM's

Looks like I'm sold on the 135. Thinking Le Mans blue, or the black. It's a hard choice as I've seen what Damian from Final Inspection can do with the black and it's absolutely mouth watering.

Have to wait until the 19th though as still can't decide between vert and coupe. Coupe with sunroof is winning though! Now I've booked an appointment on the 19th to see them and place the order and put the money down then. Finally time to join the BMW brotherhood

Thanks for everyone's help.
