I love Meguiars Tire gel and use a foam curved sponge. It shines great, lasts long, and doesn't fly off easy.

Do you want a shiney gloss wet look or matte look? Different people like different looks. I have some Blackfire tire gel coming in and I have yet to use it but I've seen pictures and a couple reviews. It gives a natural dark matte fresh look with a hint of gloss. It got decent reviews and I ordered it because I ordered the rest of my stuff from the same place.

I prefer the gloss/wet look myself. I have always used the spray on stuff in the bottle from Autozone or what not. Now that I will have something worth a damn, I'd like to invest in some better products.

Sprays typically don't last as long as gels. Neither should be applied too thick to prevent 'sling'. You might find that sprays sling more than gels as well. Gels should be applied using a tire foam applicator and spread evenly across the tire face.

Sling is when the product literally slings off the wheel as it rotates when driven.

303 Aerospace Protectant...protects the tire better than any product on the market and does not leave that greasy wet look, unless of course you like the wet look. this leave the tire a natural rubber sheen...very clean without the bling bling...

I ended up buying Meguiar's Hot Shine in the aerosol can. Works much better than what I'm used to. I let it sit over night before a road trip from Colorado Springs, CO to San Antonio, TX and it held up well...even through 2.5 hours of rain. It seems very tacky after a few minutes.

Is their tire dressing glossy?

How are their waxes? Etc.

I still prefer Meguiars Extreme Tire gel. I apply it with a yellow curved foam bad sold in pairs at Auto Zone for $3. The Meguiars Tire Gel is about $7. Its very glossy and lasts. I DON'T like sprays since its windy often in Northern IL. I don't like that crap all over the car. And it doesn't sling off easily.

Griots is not glossy. When I first put it on, I was surprised that it was not glossy. They I stood back and looked and it and was extremely impressed. The tires simply look brand new. It is a flatter matte look, but it instantly took all scraps and scratches out of the tires and they simply look new. I must say I prefer this over the "wet" look, which to me looks fake.

I tried griots clay bar, speed shine and best of show wax today on my wifes 08 Accord. The clay bar worked fine, but this is my first clay bar so I have no frame of reference. The Best of Show wax went on easy, came off easy and looks awesome. Not sure how long it will last. Honestly, I am most impressed with Griots Speed shine. Holy crap does that stuff work GREAT. I am looking to order about $300 worth of Griots gear in the next two days to include their orbiter and bucket. They make very nice micro fiber drying towels as well. Everything they sell though is VERY $$$.

Too true, I love my spray but you CAN NOT put it on in any wind. Non windy or in the garage day only.
I sprayed my turtle wax WET on five days ago and it still looks great. i used wax for abour a year on my truck but it smacked of effort.

Meguiars Endurance is very good. I still have another bottle to use up before I try Griots tire dressing (which I have heard looks great, and lasts a long time)

One thing I have noticed about Endurance is if you dont use it up within a year it separates. I ordered a couple extra bottles 2 years ago and now I'm using them and noticed this. They still do the job and the result looks great it just makes it harder to apply.

I have used Griots Micro fiber drying towel. I recommend it. It has pockets for your hands and dries the entire car without wringing it out. Also, used Griots wax stick. Griots says it has the most carnauba available in a wax. I have put two coats on my 1er and it is easy on and off. They result is great. I have a picture of my result in the Griots thread.

Zaino. HANDS DOWN.

Absolutely NOTHING beats it in the combo of black depth, longevity and cleanliness! I have a tire dressing and automotive lighting fetish so I know

http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...duct_Code=Z-16

Apply sparingly to your tires and any black trim. It will last an incredibly long time with a predictable fade after a few rain showers. You will need to clean the brake dust off several times before you need to reapply this.

The best part is there is ZERO splatter onto your quarter panels. It applies clean and doesn't get you any annoying dots or whatnot driving after even leaving it overnight... and wiping over application of any other product.

Best kept secret for trim and tire dressing.

That slings. Even after overnight, and a wipe down. You may not notice it on your AW, but when I had my AW E34, the lower portion of the skirt and rear quarter had tiny dots. This is with clean tires and then dressed.

Zaino or 303 are my picks. Both last long with good UV protection, dark matte color, and no sling.
