Actual BMW Red Caliper Color

Hi there. Currently have BMW M calipers in black. Thinking about painting them red. Does anyone know the specific BMW color name that the calipers come in when you order the car new? I'd like to get an exact match. I do have BMW Toronto Red accents on the car, but I'm not sure that's the same "red" color that comes on the brake calipers. Any ideas or guidance out there? Appreciate it!!

When I had my 2019 X3 M40i, I chipped the blue caliper and wanted to touch it up. I had a hell of a time getting the paint code, which I never did BTW. I gave up. Hopefully someone will chime in with the Red as it would apply to the X5M I have now.

Toronto is more of an orange red while the calipers are red red. Not sure on the color name though.

Mine came from factory in blue on my x5m and I'm in the same boat trying to get them factory red. Idk color but I called around so far one shop quoted me $1,000 they said cause they have to strip the factory blue, feels like a really high quote to me, has anyone done this mod and have an idea of how much this should cost to do ?

A referral for a shop in LA would also be appreciated

I found a reputable shop close by me ALPHA AUTO SPORTS in Glendale, CA. There was one guy helping me out the whole time and told me they are BMW certified and work on one of the local BMW dealerships cars. I went with them for the high reviews, fair price and explained what they would do, he said “We fully chemically strip the old coating and add 3 stage coating along with ceramic coating for easy maintence all in for $400”

Just got home and was inspecting everything and the front calipers look great but the rear ones I noticed some overspray, am I being to picky ? Is this common ? Can anybody who has had painted calipers see if I’m just being OCD…. It’s really bothering me cause I’m sure from factory it wouldn’t be like that and obviously nobody would ever notice it but I noticed it.

Actually the more I look yes you can def notice it from just looking at it, you can see it in the pics…. Is everybody else’s calipers perfectly painted same ?

I believe that's the brake pad, you should have no issues.

I painted mine using G2 Caliper paint system for my X5 50e (had it done for me). I went with the BMW San Marino blue just by eyeing it on the website. I wanted to match my BMW i4 Xdrive40 M blue color but it came out darker than what I was wanting. I still like it and it looks a million times better that not being painted on my 21' wheels. Also got the M stickers. Looks really good, just wanted a lighter blue.

The overspray appears to be on the brake pads. When you change your pads, the problem will be resolved

Hard to tell exactly from a picture, maybe reach out to them and ask if its the BMW OEM red ? They might have exact or a color that's close enough to not be able to tell the difference. Def reach out first before buying, can't hurt to ask first.

If you’re having them painted regardless, why not just color match it to Toronto Red?

I did that on my M4. Sakhir Orange with blue calipers didn’t look good to me so I had them color matched.
