Acceleration from 0-10 MPH

Hello,
I am new here. Yes, I tried to look for my question in the forum and I found nothing.
I got a new X5 M60i a week ago (model 2025). I already have about 600 miles with the car so the rev limiter is no longer limiting the power of the car.
The car feels so sluggish from stop. It is almost like there is too much clutch being applied for the first 3 seconds after pressing the gas pedal. While driving in comfort mode any normal car will jump 10 yards ahead of me when the traffic light turns green. In sport mode or manual mode the sluggishness gets a bit better but is not gone…and I don’t want to be harshly accelerating the car all the time just to keep up with a Toyota Prius. Of course, once the car takes off it is a different animal. In second or third gear and up the car will feel very agile and fast.
I contacted the dealer and they told me that this is normal. I test drove the X5 40i and it does not have this problem. During the drive test I was told that the m60 would feel a bit sluggish because of the software limiting the power during the first 300 miles to protect the engine. I am well past that and the car still fells the same. Any comments?
Thanks a lot.

For what it is worth, I have X5 m60i 2024, did not have any of the issues u describe. If it were me it would be back to the dealership or if possible to another. Make them give u a service report regardless of the outcome, just to document visit. What u are experiencing is not normal … way too many electrical components with today’s cars! Provide them with a written explanation of your problem, do not let the SA make up the issue.

Great tip, on writing your statement for the SA. Thank you.
To the original question, I have notice the delay you are getting, I have 25 X5 M60i.

I’ve got a 2021 M50i and suggest you try the Dinan throttle booster. Bought it a few months ago for $250, simple plug and play. Eliminates throttle delay when you press on the pedal. Can be super sensitive (race mode) or delayed (eco mode) and adjustable at the touch of a button (separate battery powered switch you can place anywhere in the vehicle. No app needed to adjust.

M60i also, but 2024. I don't notice a problem but yes it is a little slow to react upon starting up. Accelerator pedal is sensitive so smooth and instant acceleration is tricky.

It's a mild hybrid. The electric motor adds up to 12 hp and 147 lb-ft of torque. Maybe check if the system is helping get it off the line like it is supposed to
