I'm shopping around for xDrive.

I don't want too many Packages/Options. I only need Parking Assistant Package, but I don't see any one in local BMW inventories. The least loaded ones I saw are those with Parking+Remote start+Heated seats steering wheel+cockpit. Anyone can recommend a dealer? How much off MRSP can I possibly get?

I'm interested in adding on a trailer hitch. Is it very useful? Do I have to order/build one for this option?

live cockpit comes with the parking assistance package. I would also add the premium package which gets you the remote engine start, gesture controls (trust me you will use it all the time) and some other useful options. As far as the MSRP depends on if you qualify for some of the BMW incentives since as military, loyalty, or corporate. Many members used a broker to arrange the deal, one is based out of NJ called next level brokers. They have a website with a chart showing the percentage off MSRP and they charge a flat fee. Hope this helps.

Live Cockpit is standard and Pro is part of the Premium/Executive packages.

I think the lower the MRSP is, the less percentage I can get off it. Maybe 6% off MRSP $72000 is a good deal?

I would aim for at least 6% for 40i. A broker will probably get you a bigger discount (but you need to pay the broker their fee so do the math).

If you want a trailer hitch, then you will need to factory order it. Shop around with your area dealers to see what you can do.

I would suggest not skimping on packages as you likely will end up missing things in the future and regret not getting it. At least get the Premium package for the HUD and the Driving Assistance Professional package in addition to the Parking Assistance package. Also make sure you get the spare tire.

I agree with everything TurtleBoy said. I would recommend since you're living in the northern states, heated front and back seats, steering wheel, and armrest. I'm in Northern Texas and it can get pretty cold here. Those heated seats are wonderful!!
