Hello All, im wondering if anyone knows what BMW earns on sales. I assume they still dont get Hold Back, does anyone know exactly what they make on Floor Plan Assistance and Advertising Assistance? Im looking to Lease an M60i. I want to know their profit for negotiations purposes. I can closely figure out their invoice price. Thanks!

Rjsieboldt IMO you are focused on the wrong thing. What you need to know is...........do you qualify for any incentives such as military or loyalty. Those are separate and in addition to any discount you can negotiate off MSRP. Search this forum for info on dealer discounts by model and that's your target. Discounts seem to vary by region so you may need to travel to get the best discount. Or use a broker. Trying to figure out the dealer's profit margin is pretty much useless.

Welcome to the forum. As mentioned, none of that is important when negotiating a deal. The pricing is dependent on the market so you need to research what the discounts are in your area, or different regions, and shoot for that. If you don't have the inclination or ability to do the shopping then engaging a broker can often save you time and money.

Thank you for the replies. Between my wife and I this will be my 11th X5. I qualify for Military and Loyalty. I like to know how much BMW is making on the deal when I'm negotiating. Not many car buyers know about Hold back, or AA and so on. When I negotiate, I like to bring up what they make when they act like they're giving you an amazing deal. I really enjoy the negotiations and have gotten some very good deals. So I was wondering if anyone had those figures or if they still get nothing on Hold back. Thanks.

If you enjoy it fine but you generally will not get the best deal you can doing it that way. The holdbacks have never ended from what we have seen. They are 5% the last we saw.
