BMW G series with MGU Night Vision retrofit
I have retrofitted Night vision 3 to my G06, camera and control unit are from the same car, had to replace front louvres. , replace light switch with the NV button. Used one long HSD cable from Aliexpress between camera and control unit. Unit is also connected to the car CAN network. Coded BDC , DSC and HU. All warning , marker light works , only issue is that MGU doesn't have FBAS input there is no video on the CIC. Not sure what to do with this , buy a new MGU form the BMW but not sure this is possible , what in this case with the FSC codes etc. , add video chips on the PCB in the existing unit ( it looks like there is universal PCB only missing parts) , but I don't know if there is different firmware, does any one have eprom dump ? Or any other solution ? Any one has any idea what is possible and how to do it.

Nice, i was thinking doing the same installation a while ago. Air conditioner display and CIC display/ MGU are specific to models with night vision.. you better check on parts catalogue

Did you mange to find out about the FBAS output on your head unit? I'm going to do the same retrofit to my G26 with MGU21 (iDrive 8), but has the same problem as you.

Further update.I found HU MGU with the FBAS input ,it is B264 model , it is used but was virginized ,loaded FSC repair pack to the unit ,the FBAS input is working .I have done this for tests still having original unit in place , only plugs connected to the replacement. Now it needs to be validated ,for this is required certificate file available from BMW AOS .
