Hi! I am new to BMW and looking forward to crossing the street from my GLE 580. My lease is up Sept. 19 and my build week isn't until week 34 (Aug 19-25). How accurate is the build week or should I have a back up plan? I ordered an m60i in carbon black, ivory merino with carbon trim. I live in Texas. I seem to be the ONLY person who likes that combination as it wasn't to be found anywhere in the country. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. In regards to making a plan consider it to be accurate. Sometimes it will move up a few days but nothing you want to count on. If I had to make a plan I would plan for it to be completed the last day of the week and get there a week and a half later. That should cover the worst case scenario.

The VIN gets assigned when you go into Production Begins which happens about two weeks prior to your production week. It does not mean that assembly has begun but rather that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated.
