What do I do???
As some of you know, I am picking up a new car on Monday. No, it isn't the 135i. That comes later in the month. But that is the problem. The car I am picking up has WAY more powah than the 135i. If I get used to her before I pick up the 135i, I am gonna be dissapointed with the little bimmer. So what should I do?
a. Don't drive the new car. Pick it up and put it in your garage and drive your less powerful family car b. Don't pick up the new car at all until you pick up the 135i in case you get tempted to drive her :iono: c. Why worry? Just drive the damn thing! You will just have to live with the fact that the 135i will never be as fast (PS: This is just a bit of fun so don't take it too seriously k?) |

Right dodgey, if you want I can make you the favour of brake the engine, lol!!!
Well Way if you can wait, wait for the little bimmer, but if you are still driving the aston, still you'll notice the difference against the 135 |

wayne, what did you think of the Top Gear review? my view from that would be
d. make the c63 your go-crazy-with-unbridled-power car and the 135i your track handling superstar. (so, make the 135i the one you squash the apple with!) |

If that is the case, why is there a decission to make??:iono::iono: |

Don't drive the c63 until you've driven the 135i.
That way you'll remember the first time in the 135i without AMG related thoughts on your mind. "Hmmmm... It's nice, but not as fast as..." |

That is the intention. The 135i is for the track and the C63 for my use on the road. The X3 will be the family carrier if we need the luggage space otherwise the C63 will do that duty. The Aston...well, garage queen due to my back issue. But someone was telling me that the 135i is actually a great road car, so maybe I will not strip her down and put roll cage on so soon. I will still do the mods and stuff like you Professor, but will see about the rest.

That is precisely what I meant! The thing is though, I have driven the C63 a few times now, so I know what to expect when I pick up mine. The 135i on the other hand, I can only go by what I read. I can't even remember a 335i much given I only had it for 2 days when it was launched. That was at least a year ago?

I reckon you'll love them both. They are different enough that you won't really compare.
The Merc is just a ridiculous amount of power. Brutal and unsophisticated. Primeval. The BM. Sophisticated and classy. Power without the "look at me, look at me". Wagyu Beef or Fresh Sashimi with a touch of wusabi? Both delicious. But you don't really compare them. You are right....... I am a wan_er sometimes:biggrin:

Yeah Carlos, I think I will do that. A friend was saying to me today that I made the wrong decision. Why waste a good part of $100k (car plus mods) just to strip it down and lose it's value. I should be using this as a road car and buy a Elise/Exige or if I feel frivolous a GT3 as a track car. Makes sense.

Well Merc is always Merc, but you are right as a track car I think one of the best and cheapest id the Lotus, as for the GT3, well that is my dream car, but I reckon after you drive that car, no car will ever be able to compare to that. I like BMW, and I know they can make excellent cars with amazing engines, but for me, Porsche is still number 1 a little better than everything else.

Wayne, why don't you tell the Aston? Seems kind of pointless to have a car you can't drive..
