Thumbs up RG Sport - Eventuri Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet G05/G06/G07 M60i ** NEW PRODUCT!! **

Just released!!!
Eventuri Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet for G05 X5 M60i / G06 X6 M60i / G07 X7 M60i is finally here.

Currently taking pre-order. First delivery is roughly in 2 weeks from today.

Here is their official write-up.

Presenting the perfect addition to our X5 / X6 / X7 M60i intake system to optimise the flow path all the way to the turbos. Our carbon inlets have a larger volume than the stock inlets by maintaining a larger diameter all the way to the turbos. The stock inlets narrow down immediately after the connection to the intake which creates a restriction especially at higher boost levels. We have alleviated this restriction and also designed the curvature to be as smooth as possible allowing the turbos to function with reduced resistance. Made from prepreg carbon fiber with CNC machined flanges, the inlets also provide an aesthetic improvement to the engine bay.

Benefits of the inlets are apparent with tuned vehicles where the boost pressure is higher and therefore the flow demand form the turbos is greater. This is where the larger inlet volume of the inlets help provide that extra flow.

The Eventuri turbo inlets are manufactured from high temperature prepreg carbon fiber and come assembled with a number of other components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards.

Each inlet inlet set consists of:

• Prepreg Carbon Inlet Pair
• CNC Machined Turbo Flanges
• CNC Machined Breather Valve Assembly

COMPARISONS

The performance gains are produced from providing the turbos with a less resistive flow path which allows them to reach peak boost sooner in the RPM range. When comparing to the stock inlets the differences are clear to see. Where the stock tubes narrow down immediately after the connection to the intakes, our tubes maintain a larger diameter and the reduction to the stock turbos is achieved with an internal radius on the machined flanges. This allows for larger volume whilst maintaining a smooth flow path. One of the drawbacks of the oversized inlets was the more aggressive reduction in size to match the stock turbos which created some flow constraints.

Very cool. DIY install looks like it would be a major pain in the ass though.

Surprisingly, it is not.
The most PITA is that you have to remove the whole air box.

I have a G05 M50i. I'd be interested in real-world gains, if any before spending that kind of money on it. I'm guessing it may be better having catless or other exhaust mods. I'm looking forward to hearing back from people after installing it. Is there any Dyno testing?

Unfortunately, this Turbo inlet doesn't fit for G05 X5 M50i.
Eventuri just released their intake system for G05 X5 | G06 X6 | G07 X7 M50i. No turbo inlet yet.
On the side note, intake and exhaust on the newer car doesn't give you a noticeable power gain by itself. You will need to have a tune, as simple as piggy back tune, to notice the gain.
