Arm Rest Storage Pics

Anyone have arm rest storage pics showing the USB ports on an 40i (maybe they are the same for M50 and M as well)? I want to order an organizer tray before more order comes in and I can't seem to find a pic of that...my Google-Fu is weak today apparently.

This is what I use and also attaching a pic of the tray in my car:

There is direct access to the USB port from the top of the tray. I don't have a pic of that but can take it and share it if needed.

That works, thanks so much rundeyvoo . When I was looking at the organizers, there seemed to be a variation in size and location of the USB access so I was concerned I would buy one that wouldn't fit properly. I won't get mine for another ~30 days...I'm trying to get the accessories, etc. before I get it so it's all set up and ready to go day 1.

I bought this one and it's perfect. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...0?ie=UTF8&th=1

Here are pics with the console empty and with the tray dropped in

Thank you BigVegas17 - that is the exact one I had put in my wishlist when I was looking a them

Not sure why it was so hard for me to find what the inside of the console looks like, it seems like it would be a common thing. Even the vids I watched of the interior never really showed inside very well, just how the armrests opened.

No problem. The tray splits the depth of the console area in about half so you can still store a few things under the tray as well. I keep a few microfiber cloths under there.

I don’t have a pic but I use a tray that I bought off Amazon for my X5. Keeps all the frequently used stuff on top and the other stuff underneath it.

I got that tray for my X5. it’s great.

more frequent stuff on top (pen, coins, EZ-Pass, tire pressure gauge); less frequent stuff underneath (valve stem caps, multitool, OBD adapter, faux 12V outlet plugs)

Lock it up tight! And a tray behind the screen is convenient for sunglasses 😎

Oh man, nice. In OH it's legal to conceal carry without a permit (I took the classes, never did the last step to get the permit - long story) and I have thought about keeping a pistol in my car but don't currently have a way to secure it. This might be good. Do the screws actually screw into existing holes or does it just screw into the console housing? With a lease, I don't want to incur too much "damage" though that seems like an area that wouldn't get much scrutiny.

Also, that tray is a good idea!

Definite must of you’re carrying. Nice to have a secure location to keep your carry when you’re going somewhere and not allowed to bring it in.

The safe uses the two screw locations in the bottom of the console under the rubber mat so no modifications required. It also has a little opening for a charging cable to go through so you can still utilize the charging port. Also, there’s still enough room on top of the door for things. My girl keeps hand sanitizer wipes in there 😄

Anymore man, you just don't know with people shooting places up left and right. I feel more and more inclined to be carrying. It's a sad commentary on the state of this country.

Definitely. Never know when or where. We had a couple incidents that prompted me to start carrying. Didn’t grow up with guns and I’m not a gun nut, but want to be responsible about it and this safe is perfect. There’s really no other space in the car for something like this as you can see my old safe there in the picture. That one fit perfectly under the drivers seat in my Tiguan. And with these cars as nice as they are, who knows if someone will target you.
