Pre-LCI X-Line "skid trim" removal

Hi all,

Wanted to put this out there for any Pre-LCI X-Line owners looking to DIY black out their front silver trim. I know there is a video out there on how to remove the C-shaped pieces but I hadn't seen any for the middle piece so I made one. Pretty simple removal and reinstallation(though new pop rivets are required). Definitely prefer the blacked out X-Line look!

what if you just take it off altogether and leave it. does the part under it show holes?
