Electronics won't turn off

The electronics won't shut off when I open the door. The engine is turned off. I have checked the box in the "doors" that specifies to do this but it's not working.

are you parking then just opening the door? If so, that’s the problem. even though the vehicle seems idle as soon as you park (ASS stops the engine, etc), the vehicle is still in the drive-ready state

you need to press the Stop button before you open the door (even if the engine has already been turned off by ASS). this takes the vehicle out of the drive-ready state

The key to this is to use the start/stop button prior to opening the door while have the off upon exit option checked. If you try that and it doesn't work, then something weird is going on. You can also shut things off if you lock the vehicle.
