Hey everyone,

I'm based out of Texas and I'm currently in the market for a 2024 BMW X5 sDrive. I've a dealer who offerred me below -

Model: 2024 BMW X5 sDrive
MSRP: $71,875 (with Premium Package and 21" wheels)
Dealer Discount: Offering about a 10% discount
Out-the-Door Price: $71,000

I asked the dealer about extended warranties, and here’s what they quoted me:

3-year extended warranty: $6,999
2-year extended warranty: $5,599

How is this quote looking? Any suggestions?

The discount is good and as long as they don't have any add-ons it seems like a good deal. Make sure they are not making up the APR, it should be 1.99%.

Skip the warranties. Even if for some reason you would want one do not buy one at the time of delivery as you always want to shop around for the best pricing. You can buy one at any time from any dealer prior to your new vehicle warranty expiring. We have recommended dealers should you need references.

Oh, Thanks. APR they quoted was 2.99 for 48 and 60 months. 3.99 for 72 months.

They are marking not up the 1% they are allowed to. Hopefully you can get that taken off with negotiation.

I just got (x5 50e) 10% off, plus the 2k discount, pls free tint, nitro and other crap (got it written off) + 1.99% @ 60 mo. DM me for dealer. I bought in Austin. I've bought multiple cars from this dealer.

I wouldn't touch either of them since they don't have DAP.

The discounts are decent however the numbers don't make sense likely they are putting dealer add-ons in there. The differential between the sales price and the out the door is higher for the vehicle with a lower sales price. The only difference between the two vehicles in that regards should be the taxes which would result in a higher amount for the vehicle with the higher sales price.

If you want to continue with those then get a detailed breakdown of the costs.

Get DAPP. You won’t regret it. And if possible m sport package.


Decline all dealer add ons . I did . I said I’d walk . I got charged 3 cents . lol

My wife and I just purchased our 1st BMW...a 2022 CPO X5 XDrive40i. The salesman, who I did like, tried very hard with multiple attempts to persuade me to purchase warranties. I think it would increase me costs over 8k more. We already had the remainder of 2 warranties from the previous owner. I politely declined. I remember posts on here that most suggested you do not get the warranties...at least right now during purchase. They must make alot of cash from those the effort he put into trying to get me to buy them. I remember one post stating to put that 8k in a high yield savings account and if you have a need take it out of there instead of giving it to BMW, etc. Only time will tell whether I made the right decision.

Is the 10% off only for the 50e or the 40i as well?

Not sure on the 40i. I’d assume that would work on the lot cars If they want to move them
