Houston, TX help anyone?
http://www.momentumbmw.net/Default.a...ge=bmwnew-cars
For the 325i sedans (e90), which is what I'm interested in, none have the sports package, and ALL have wood trim. Anyone know if BMW North or Advantage BMW has a better selection? |

I ended up buying from Advantage Downtown. From David Powell. Do NOT go there until you negotiate with internet team of any dealer though. Finance lady was really cool, forgot her name.
I don't think you'll end up buying from Momentum. They are asses and charge $500 dealer service fee. Talk to Steve Lee at BMW North Houston. Tell him you are a bavspeed member. Www.bavspeed.com. He may give you a good deal. I've never been to BMW North, but have heard from some that they are nice. Quote:

I had a great experience with Molly Sims at Advantage Downtown. Now I'm just having problems with their service manager...I just drive the however many miles to Clear Lake BMW.
BMW North completely ignored me - I walked around for 20-30 min and couldnt even get a salesperson to talk to me. Guess I didnt look like I was interested in buying that day. Talked to Molly at Advantage that night & picked up my car the next morning. |

I dont remember the name of the service advisor...but today I drove out to Clear Lake & they couldnt have been nicer! Topped off my oil with no charge (downtown was going to charge me for the oil) and then cleaned it inside and out. Its not that far from my work - I'm between the two - so I'd rather drive out and deal with the Clear Lake guys.
Oh - btw - I didnt get a penny off my E90 either...but I figured it would be that way getting it early. I love it though & I'm glad I didnt wait. *off topic* Clear Lake has a whole aisle of 3s sitting out front. BEAUTIFUL green - oooh..nice... |

good for you. topping off oil should not cost you anything. When in doubt, post question on this board and other members will let you know what you should be expecting. Same thing if you need to replace any light bulbs on the car, same thing with coolant fluid, windshield wipper...you get the idea...

Look into the option of ordering it from an out of state BMW dealer that works with Costco. They offer $1,000 over invoice price. I got this deal from BMW San Diego. Trucking came out to like 600-700 if i recall, but in the end, based on my limited options, it only came down to about 800 bucks more to buy it local, so I did.
Edit: go to costco.com for more information, or call their 1800 number. Quote:

bmw market in houston is huge (not as big as cali - my guess). Bmw dealer here are not thirsty for sales so it is very difficult to get below MSRP on a 07 model. There are folks who walks in and paid cash on a 335 as a demo car. Advantage clearlake already sold one 335 last week.

dealers have a big advantage on e92 at the momment and no houston bmw dealers will negotiate price. You pay sticker period. Don't believe me, try it for yourself.

You guys do know the $500 Momentum charges is not on top of the price of the car right? They simply drop the agreed upon sale price by $500 and substitute in their little fee. Truth be told I actually prefer it because that was $500 less I did not have to pay the 6.25% sales tax on.
