Ohhh, me:thumbup:
I am very interested. I think that even if we only have three of us we should do it. Take pictures and then post them up here. It will get the ball rolling and hopefully get more people interested. I turned the S2ki Oregon club into a 50+ member club from a 3-4 group of friends that liked to hang out. We now have meets and drives with as many as 37 S2000's at once. We just need to get something together even if it is small to get the ball rolling. If you would like to talk about this give me a call. I will PM the two of you my cell:thumbup: Let's do this:roundel: Brandon

If we do Saturday and people want to do a nice scenic drive I can set that up. I plan a drive once a month for my S2000 car club. Brandon

Sunday mornings always seem to work well. Where would you guys prefer to meet and how long of a drive would you like to take? I would like to set this up for August 9th (Sat) or 10th (Sun), giving us ample time to get word out and make a solid itinerary.

Sounds bueno, guys... Let's make it happen. I agree with the above, even if it's just a few of us it would be a good time.
I-One-Da? and I have some things in common... I also had an S2000 and back in 2004 was the community organizer for the Portland Chapter. Though it was a much smaller group back then.

I am up for the 9th or the 10th.
If we do Sunday I will not be able to do a long drive as I wuld then have to turn around and drive all the way home which is about 3 hours. Unless we do something that heads out the Gorge. Then I could just head back down through Maupin on the way back. I know some great drives out that way. We can go to the Stonehenge replica out in Goldendale:iono: Here is a picture of our S2000 run out there earlier this year.

Works for me, just need to know where & when. Are we going to meet first & motor a few back roads then end up at a final destination for some good brew & chat or just a greet & meet?

I would prefer to meet up around downtown portland and then a drive to lunch. Everyone please post up your ideas and concerns and lets try to make this work. When a solid plan is made I will post it on e90post, m3post, and the like.

I might not be able to make the 16th but don't change the date for me. We should just set a date that at least a few of us will commit to and run with it. We will never find a date that works for everyone. I have an S2000 drive that day so it depends on which I choose to go to.
For a meeting place it all depends on how many cars we will have. If it is only going to be a few then downtown will work but if we get to more the about 6 cars we will want to meet somewhere with less traffic and lights. It is hard to keep the cars together sometimes if there are a lot of lights and traffic. How long of a drive would you guys like? If you want to get in a really good drive with scenic views and a lunch stop I know many. If you want to do just a cruise then I know a few of those as well. If you want to drive one of the most amazing set of twisties in Oregon then we should head out towards Astoria through Vernonia. Plus the views are amazing and there are some great places to stop for lunch in Astoria. Maybe a vote for where we go? Choices I know of: 1. Astoria 2. Cannon Beach/Seaside 3. Mt. St. Helens 4. StoneHenge Replica in Goldendale, WA 5. Detroit Lake 6. Old McKenzie Pass (long drive for Portland folk but one of the most amazing roads in Oregon) Brandon

I've done all these w/the another club but Goldendale, WA. All excellent areas. Personally, I would like something under 2 hours but on a Saturday I can be more flexible. Is anyone familiar w/the ~25 mile twisty road btwn Scappoose & Vernonia? It's been awhile but I recall it as very fun

Are we still up for a meet on this Saturday, the 16th? I will be in Portland this weekend so if anyone wants to meet up let me know in this thread:w00t:
If we have a few people interested I can put together a little short drive. Brandon:roundel:
