DYI Shadowline Grills with pictures!
Remove the grills. A DIY thread on how to do this can be found here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...=remove+grills
Separate the inner and out grills. Next, sand the chrome of the grills. I started with 220 grit, then smoothed it with 600 grit. I sanded the inner grills until the chrome came off (it is a very thin layer). I sanded the outer grills so that they looked very scratched. After this, apply 4-5 light coats of spray paint, either matte or gloss depending on the look you want. I used a matte black paint. Allow about 15 minutes to dry between each coat Finally, snap the inner and outer grills back together and push grill back into grill inlet. |
