Help. How do I get waterproof sunblock off of leatherette!?!?!

Hi,

I know this isn't what people come here to read about, but I know someone here is going to have the answer for me. White waterproof sunblock is all over my 135i's black leatherette. What do I use to remove?

Thanks!!!!!!!

I would start with some mild detergent and water, use a microfiber mitt and a towel to dry off right away.

there are leather cleaner products from various manufacturers, I'm using Meguire's and it's cleaned/conditioned my leather very well so far.

Marseille Soap and water is a good way to clean leather. Then use saddle oil to enrich the leather; you can purchase it at your local equestrian shop.

This is what I got from an old antic dealer and this works great. Although not all leathers are the same so always try out in an inconspicuous corner !

Since it's leatherette it's plastic essentially so you can use a mild detergent to mix with the oily sunblock.

Vinylex works well for keeping the leatherette conditioned. It would keep sunblock and lotion from being absorbed so easily.
