Wheel cleaning

Looking to find something to clean the wheels with that isn't abrasive. Some/most of the wheel cleaning brushes I have seen look quite abrasive and looks too rough to use on alloy wheels. Is this the case? Should I just use a sponge instead?

Spray with P21s wheel cleaner and use a sponge. Griots makes a non-abrasive wheel cleaner also.

I use the griot's boars hair brush, works great. It's very soft, but I do fear the boars may not have been shaven to get the hair.

...and the cows may not have voluntarily given up the leather for our seats either.

Griots wheel cleaner is very good. Just spray the cleaner and wipe off. Works well on BMW brake dust. Just remember that the wheels should be cool when you clean them regardless of what you use.

So if the brush is that smooth why not just use a sponge?

Garage List
I went to my local dollar store and bought an awesome "brush" but it has a ball sponge on the end of it. It is perfect for the wheels and super cheap.

I use a wash mitt made of what appears to be condensed pipe cleaner type material. Works great and the brake dust washes right off of it.

After cleaning I used Griots One-Step sealant on the wheels. Now they just wipe out with and cloth.

I just use a microfiber cloth and wipe the wheels down each night...keeps the dust from building up and only takes a couple of mins...MAYBE 10 mins if I've driven it hard that day. The next morning before I drive it, I wipe and shine the entire car...keeps the car and wheels looking great and takes me less than 20 mins per day. I was wanting different wheels but after the ease in which the stocks are cleaned, I think I just might keep 'em!
