I had absolutely no problem reeling in a '04-05 RS4 Avant (the station wagon version only available in Europe) on the Nurburgring Nordscheife in my stock 135i. He wasn't poking around either; its just a really heavy car with only about 330hp despite its Quattro system. The 1er would beat it handily, especially considering a 1er compares favorably to a Porsche Cayman S which is a much better car than the RS4, at least the late model version.

Gotta agree with mtla4 - there has never been a 330bhp RS4. The B6 V8 is a very flexible engine with 420bhp as he says. The B5 has "only" 380bhp out of the box, but getting them to 450bhp is very easy... and of course off the line they can get all their power down...
