What a bargain!!!!

I have been trying to convince my other half to buy this car, but she wants to wait until after Xmas...

It is an absolute steal, just over £40k new and loaded with kit:

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_d...UN92090VG74641

Only £30k now, 6 months old with 4.5k miles!!!!!!!!!!

She might well be right to wait until after Xmas - that car is (I'm fairly sure) still available. Now at £28838 too. Bet they'd have your hand off at £28K. And £27K in Jan if they still have it. The 135i Conv doesn't book yet, but the 128i Conv 'only' lost £550 last month (better than new M3 at £1470!!).

My advice is make sure you have her 100% on board. The last thing you want is when your own financial situation is strained that she points the finger at you for buying a very $$$ car! Sounds like you have some work ahead of yourself.

As far as it being a super great car, it is big time!!!!!!

I do not know how many members here at 1addicts are, but I bet that 99% of owners here would tell you it's a good buy! I only know if 1 or 2 that didn't like it, and sold it.

I specced it on BMW's configurator to that price.

Still keeping an eye on it...

Dunno mate: before I bought my current 135i CA 2 weeks ago, I priced the seven available cars via BMW UK AUC site up INCL ALL SPEC/OPTIONS and this particular one came out at around £39K. But hey maybe my sums were wrong!

Unfortunately, like most people, we are waiting now.

Our 335d is suffering with poor residuals too, so it makes more sense to hold on for a while

We may reconsider in 3-6 months, but she doesn't want to sell right now.

Not the bargain I thought it was...... have a look at the secondhand 135i Convs for sale on Autotrader...... TEN Sytner pre-reg deliv mile well specced cars with manuals and autos at £25850 and £26850 respectively........ Anyway, mine's going tomorrow and at £25K trade in against a £29.5K Aug 08 3K mile big-spec Audi TTS Rdstr I'm well chuffed (relieved.....)

I don't mean to be argumentative Moff, but if my old eyes do NOT deceive me, YES THEY ARE! To see details of one of the cars in question, point your browser to:

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...leRegLetter=58

Or alternatively go to:

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/natio...,00.html?D=Nat

BTW/EDIT, I was today (8th Jan) speaking to the Used Car Business Manager at Stephen James Bromley BMW - where I bought my 135i Conv from (secondhand) 6 weeks ago. I told him I'd been bid £22K for the car by BMW dealers between Xmas and New Year and that I'd probably be getting bid £21K for it now - he said I'd now be doing VERY well to get even £21K...... - things just keep going from bad to worse it seems............

Cheers,

Mike
