question about warranty ending

hey guys I'm here at bmw trying to get my interior peeling and door handle fixed. Now I was just told that because my warranty is almost over that they may not do anything? Can they really say that or is it just bs? I have 49008 miles. Thanks any info appreciated

Mine was fixed/replaced under warranty, but I only have 21k miles. On the other hand, a warranty is not over until you hit the months or miles... close to the expiration sounds pretty bogus. I say the car is under warranty still if its 4 year, 11 months, 29 days and the odometer shows 49999.

BTW -- they replaced the entire drivers door armrest ... I thought they would just replace the plastic piece that was peeling

unless you're over your mileage, that's total BS and call them out on it.

Thanks you guys, thats exactly what I was thinking DPritchett, why the hell would they advertise that the warranty is 4yrs or 50k miles if their gonna stop it at 49k? Thats such bs, left me a voicemail sayin that their still trying to get approval. If they don't do I just call BMWNA or talk to the service manager? Thanks everyone

How did it go? I had the same issue with about 49700 miles and they replaced with a brand new one. Get another service advisor!
