BMW of Stratham???

Anyone use BMW of Stratham for service?

Long story short - I've been going to BMW of Peabody for sales and service since 1996 but I'm currently taking legal action against them because of the damage their "SPA" did, so I'm looking for a new dealer to service my car.

Anyway, it sounds like Chambers and both Gallery dealers have issues. I've been up to Stratham while car shopping and it seems OK.

Just wondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say about their service department. You can PM me if you don't want to comment publicly.

Wow, that sucks to hear. Honestly though, it could happen anywhere. We've used Peabody for years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Stratham would be my second choice though. Haven't heard any horror stories and it's a fairly small dealer.

Good luck getting things sorted with Peabody.

Hmm....... I have seen what the SPA did to your car, but it doesn't look like it would be escalated to legal matters. What's the story behind the legal action?

I tried to get them to reimburse me what they charged me the last time they tried to buff out the scratches and swirl marks (but they made the problem worst) and to also pay what it cost me to have Rick correct the paint. They would not, so I talked to a lawyer and we filled a Cpt. 93a letter and they did not comply. The next step is small claims..

It's not really the money but the principle here. They would not take responsibility or even agree that there is a flaw in the way they detail the cars there. I even wrote a letter to BMWNA but they said because it was a dealer related incident and not a "design issue" they could not help me.

Hmm....... that's not cool for them to ignore you. I've been in the same boat with something else, and ended up getting 150% of what they owe me when they finally settled with me. I broke even after the attorney fees.

I can't comment about BMW of Stratham's service department as I have never used them, but if you're willing to go to Stratham, why not try Tulley BMW in Nashua? I bought my car there and I continue to service it there and their service department is friendly, professional, and they listen to whatever your concerns are. They even listen if you tell the SA not to wash your car after service. BMW loaners are available and they also have an Enterprise rental guy right in the service department in case their loaners are all unavailable.

Yeah, it was between Stratham and Tulley. Stratham is a straight shot up 95 for me and I don't have to worry about traffic. It would take me longer to get to Tulley.

I've heard good things about Stratham but I haven't gone there myself for service. My car was originally purchased there and I contacted a service advisor for help looking into the car's service history. I was treated well with useful information and respect. That's a good start. Another option you might want to look into is an independent. Turner motorsport in Amesbury is a well-known BMW tuner that only does BMW work. They do regular service as well (for much less than the dealer) and I've started using them for this. They have been excellent so far.

Thanks. My car is still under warranty, so for now I'll stick with a dealer. Once the warranty is up (if I still have the car) I'll probably take it to an independent place.

I use stratham for service as does Turner for his cars under warranty.

They have worked on 7 cars for me in the past 5 years.

Ask for Adam or Tia and feel free to say you got their name from me (Howard).

They have bent over backwards to make things right for me in the past.

Good to know, thanks. I talked to Tia on the phone. I'm going there on Monday morning for an oil change.

Just purchased a new e90 from Stratham. I've been dealing with Scot Murby (been there like 25 years or something) who has been really good about everything.
My car was somehow lost during delivery, and just showed up today (Monday), when it was guaranteed for delivery on Friday. Apparently the truck had broken down, so it's not their fault.
We'll see what freebies they throw in for me when I go to pick it up in a few hours.

Scott handled my ED with no issues whatsoever.
I've used Peabody for service since they're right around the corner and have had no problems at all with them. Sorry for your experience.

I'll probably purchase my next BMW at Stratham. I'm done with all the BS at Peabody.

I shopped them both and Stratham offered a markedly better price at the time.
