335d w/ x-drive?

Think BMW will ever make (for the US market) the 335d w/ x-drive? I might have considered that over the 335i x-drive when we made our purchase.

I hope so, I think it would be great. I can't even imagine how that would feel off the line once tuned.

While I like the concept - currently there is no value in going with the Diesel. The payback rate is rediculously high. One of the car mags recently did a comparison on what the mileage would be for payback. It was something like 180,000 miles to break even. At that point I would rather have the performance of the gas motor.

It matters what type of performance you're looking for. The torque on the d is ridiculous. Combine that with all wheel drive and the launch would be way fun.

Yes is would - but still slower than the gas version.
