Strange after market performance
Ok so I wired up an after market head unit with the standard wiring harness. Here is the strange thing. The radio function works flawlessly. No issues whatsoever. However, when I try to play a CD or use the iPOD function, I get no sound. Cd and iPod are working fine - but no sound! Anyone have an idea what the problem could be? I have business CD with no DSP but an external amp in trunk.

So I just needed to hook the 'remote on' wire up properly. Proof that non-DSP / 10 speaker Business CD headunit w/ remote amp will work with an aftermarket head unit. Sounds brilliant! Good thing about this is that I can now use my sub-out pre-amps and hook up some proper bass via replacing the rear woofers. Project for later.....
Read here before and would like to confirm that the Metra face plate does not fit very well. I will be trading out for Soche when i add the subs / amp. |
