Group Buy: OEM Aero Side Sills

Hey all,

Been talking with Jason at Tischer. If we can get 8+, we can get a pretty good deal on the aero side sills. So anyone who has been waiting to do this mod, now might be a good time to do it .

each side skirts currently sells for $247.16 + shipping. They are over-sized, so shipping is kinda expensive, and $247.16 is already at the Tischer discount (list price is $308.95) if we get at least 8 people, we can get them for $460 shipped (US only). Im in and hopefully we can get 7 more people and jump on this deal.

FYI, these come unpainted. You will have to get them painted yourself.

Here is a link to inTgr8r's DIY thread with pictures.

It's ridiculous that these side skirts don't come stock on the Z4M. The more aggressive styling probably could've sold a few more Z4M's for BMW. They already had these side skirts laying around so why not put them on the M and distinguish it a little.

200$ for shipping is a joke. I've shipped larger 50 pound muffler sections for half that.

It's not $200 for shipping. It's $247.16 per side. So both sides equal $494.32 plus shipping. They're selling them for $460 shipped.

These side skirts have an invoice price of $185 per side. Tischer will probably be making $60~$70 for every set they sell.

They are $247 per skirt so $494 for both. $460 for both isn't that bad cause I paid $460 for both and that was with me picking them up from Circle BMW

There was a price increase last year on the skirts or at least that what I was told when I ordered them. I was quoted $185 a side at first then I got a call back saying they went up to $215ish a side if I remember correctly. I paid $460ish but that was with tax.

I just chatted with a BMW GM and parts manager a few days ago and I mentioned I was trying to sell my aero side skirts. The side skirts have an invoice price of $185. This price has not changed for a long time. BMW increased the MSRP of the side skirts, but the invoice price stays the same at $185.

The $215 you mentioned was the old MSRP. The new MSRP is about $300. Many dealers, however, are selling at below that.

i would be but the cost of a paint job offsets any interest, lol. i'm assuming a quality paint job at a good body shop would be another $400 or so...

I see... thanks for the info! That was a huge jump in msrp. The deal tischer is giving is pretty good then.

Any possibility if you'll find out if they'll throw in a deal on a aero bumper to include in the package? Would love the sills, but only if I managed to get a hold of an aero or M bumper too.

I'd love to have a pair of these on my M... except that I think they look bad on Imola Red. There's just some colours that don't work.

+1. I don't think they work on Imola Red either. It can work on an Alpine White IF the shop paints the skirts perfectly. But Alpine White is a very difficult color to match, so more often than not the side skirts end up looking very "plastic".

On black, interlago blue, silver/gray Z4's, the aero side skirts look awesome and the refelctions caused by the extra crease come out looking perfect and add aggresiveness to the cars.

Id be all over this if i lived in the states.
Ill call my local bmw 2moro to see how much they can get them for me, if its a ridiculous price i might jump on the group buy and just pay the extra shipping costs.

And a few maybes. Tischer is obviously willing to ship outside the US, but you will not get the $460 shipped price. You will have to contact "Jason at Tischer" to confirm the shipping for yourself. Lets get this done people, be a wonderful mod for the summer.

For whatever is worth, you can order the side skirts from bmwpartzdirect.com for $500 shipped in the U.S. No group buy necessary. $40 more than Tischer. But that'st still cheaper than the $600 MSRP PLUS shipping or taxes.

I think you're not gonna have an easy time finding 8 people on this Z4 forum to pony up $460 for the aero side skirts in order to qualify for the group buy.
