How many miles are you getting out of your snow tires?
My E90 just passed 35k miles, of which ~13k of those miles have been on a set of Dunlop Wintersport M3 DSST tires. Right now they have about 6mm of tread remaining, so I will probably get to about 20k miles on this set before i have to replace them.
Out of curiosity, how many miles are others getting out of their snows before they need replacement? Most of my winter miles are on mixed wet/dry pavement, with the occasional huge dump of snow, plus trips skiing every few weeks.

An average wear would be about 20,000-25,000 miles before the tires get to a point where they woudn't be very effective in snow. Having somewhere in the range of at least 5/32nds to 6/32nds of an inch remaining when entering a winter season is a good rule of thumb.
