2009 328i Sedan What Rims????
Just became another BMW owner and Happy to joint this fabulous forum. I was able to swing a great deal on this car because it was a demo vehicle with only $3K miles saving me some much needed coin.
I want to purchase aftermarket rims and have already found two that I like alot but the question is: Do I go with 20 inch? Is this too aggressive? Will I need to modify suspension or anything for those size rims ? Do I go with 19 inch? Will I have a gap from tire to fender well? Do I need springs..Im guessing modest ones such as one inch. IN the end...what are the pros and cons between 19 and 20 inch wheels for my new 09 Bimmer Sedan...The car is black on black and had some nice changes with the headlight and hood...very happy! |

Anything less than 24" is whack.
But, really, since your roads don't look like the surface of the moon, a tasteful set of 20" rims would look nice. Nebster has some real nice looking 20's on a black car. You can fit 20's without modifications, but it will be pretty harsh. This thread would be better in the wheel/tire subforum, and there are plenty of pics of people with all kinds of wheels all over the site. Find what stands out to you, and get that. |

I live in NJ so I wont go bigger than 19in. Some of our roads around here look like they been hit with IEDs. I look at it this way, the one inch in size i bearly noticable and won't make much of a difference to you but hitting a pot hole with an 19in versus a 20in can mean a whole world of difference.

rkick08...I did purchase it at South Motors BMW with Michael Barret (He is Great).
Looks like we have the same dilemna. I really love the 20 inch Moda 215 but afraid to go that BIG on this car and worried about the harsh ride I keep hearing about and possible suspension issues with wheels that big. I might now be leaning towards 19inch for thicker tires than the 20s and maybe give it a small drop to eliminate any gap from tire to fender well. I looked through this site's BMW garage and saw some nice 328 sedans with 19 inch and a subtle drop. |

Depends entirely on your budget and preferences. I like a good 20" forged split-spoke design, personally (What I run on my own car)

What is your budget? Do you have a preferred finish or style in mind?

probably the only POSSIBLE way to get um for 1600 is with generals and no tpms |

Suggestion
Hi, Bro,, I think you can consider Breyton rims,, they look so cool,, I am using 19 inch rims in my ride 335xi,, it spent me about 3000CAD... I don't know what you think,, but this is my suggestion...

It depends on how much you are willing to spend, what look you want to give your car (classy, sporty/aggressive)

I too, just picked up a demo on South BMW's memorial day special. It also had 3K miles. It is the 328i base, correct? PM me with the deal you got...
Do the 09 328i base have TPMS sensors? I can't bring up the tire pressures by pressing any buttons from the cockpit??? |
