Exclamation Rubbing with 275/30/19 on stock sport suspension - AluFelgen

Hi,

I installed my Alufelgen CS7 wheels today with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 tires and I have rear rubbing issues.

Wheels are Front 19x8.5 ET35 and Rear 19x9.5 ET30

Couple of members here run this setup with a dropped suspension and they don't rub...i'm a little bit disapointed
Anyone else with this problem?

I'm confused too, I run the same offset, and lowered, albeit on a E90. What tires are you running?

Are you sure it's not the front? That recipe, 35 ET and 245 with the soft stock springs caused rubbing on my e90. Also what kind of tires? Some are more square then others.

We have a lot of members running this setup with aftermarket suspension and they are not rubbing. We run 275/30/19 RE-11s on H&R Sports on an E90 and we've never rub... Are you sure is not the fronts? Where is it rubbing? If is the rear is it the Left or Right rear? Is it hitting the fenders or the black plastic guard?

Let us know

Theres no way you can be rubbing in the rear if your not dropped...

I rubbed in the front on hard turns against the liner when i had 19"x8.5" iforged fronts with 245/35 tire and i wasnt dropped...you may be rubbing in that same place?

I thought you were a e92, with the e90, you should not be rubbing even if you are on square tires if your zsp is not dropped.

Do you rub only on big bumps, hard cornering, dips on the freeway, car loaded?

spy963,

I will be receiving nearly the same wheel/tire set up from AluFelgen on Monday! Only difference is I'll be running 235/35-19 on the front. I also have E90 with bone stock Sport Suspension. Please advise WHERE it's rubbing? Right or left tire and where? How about some photos!?

I rub the plastic fender well on the driver's rear when hitting larger dips. I'm running the same tires except et33.

Ok, I did a couple of tests...
I think you're right...I'm rubbing in front...mostly on passenger side.

Here's the results:

On big bumps : sure, i rub
Dips on freeway : no
Hard cornering: no
Hard cornering with bumps : yes
Hairpin turns : a little bit

LCI??? It has a wider track allowing a less agressive offset.

Is your camber correct? These cars are meant to run some slight neg camber (-0.5) as standard.

I'm pretty sure generals have a square sidewall too

So, do you think it's the 245 size that's causing the rubbing issue? or offset? Plus I'd still like to see a photo of the car with those wheels...I can hardly wait!

Since we're on the topic; I'm about to pick up some 19 inch rims for my 328i E90. Will the 19's fit fine? I'm just wondering because I heard people with 20s were having issues.

I promise with Stock Sport Suspension and a 30 offset you will rub with General 275's.

I have 33 offset with a 3mm spacer, and I ended up having to roll my fenders.

275s is definitely too wide for a coupe but I thought I would have no problems on my e90.

Hey spy,

Looks great! Just so we're clear...the rear 275's are NOT an issue? It's the 245 on front that are rubbing on BIG bumps, during hard corning over bumps and when at full lock hairpins? Just curious, did you specify the offset or just advise AluFelgen what vehicle they were for and they sent you what you needed. Does anyone actually measure the offset to make sure they were shipped the right fitment? Are you just going to live with it, then switch down to a 235 on front next time? No ///M decals?
