I'm posting this here to help out one of the guys from another forum:




Introducing the first annual.......Florida Bama Georgia Mississippi......Meet in Prattville, AL.



When:NEW DATE: November 21st 2009 9am - You're to drunk to remember anything
Where: Posey's Crossroads, Prattville, AL (less than 10 min from I-65)
What: A meet up of our Southern Neighbors to show off their rides, cruise down beautiful back country roads to the Confederate Memorial Park, have a local photographer get you some hi-res shots of your beautiful car, and BBQ until the sun goes down.


Here's how it's going to go down.

9am: People can start arriving for setup, prime parking spots, and meet&greet. Photography will also be going on at this time.

12pm: Lunch will start being served, probably catered by Subway or Fire House Subs.

1pm: Start gearing up for the drive. I plan on 45 - 60 minutes to the Confederate Memorial Park through some beautiful Alabama back country roads. Spend an hour at the site hanging out, learning some history, or getting some more shots of your car in. Another 45 - 60 min drive back to home base.

5pm: Music will get started and the BBQ Pit will be open for you to grab some delicious hotdogs, hamburgers, pork chops, or slow cooked ribs. You can also use the pit to cook your own meat if you felt like bringing a steak or whatnot. Beer will be provided at this time (BudLight, Coors, Miller HighLife), if you don't like any of those then BYOB.*

9pm: Unofficial wrap-up of the BBQ Pit and music. A campfire will be burning for those that wish to stick around a while longer.



*If needed, a shuttle will be provided to local hotels for those that would like it. If you are deemed too drunk to drive, your keys will be placed in a locked safe and you will be comped a room at one of the local hotels. Please do not drink and drive, I really don't feel like riding with the local EMT's to the hospital to identify you.



Here is the layout of the land as it is right now. The driveway along the top has gravel now but will have an added layer before I arrive home. This will allow lowered cars access to my front yard which is as nicely kept as the greens on a golf course. My front yard alone can handle 20 cars, with any overflow right next door.

Sweet, thanks for putting this together, seems like it will be a very well organized and fun gathering.

I don't see why I wouldn't be able to make it, but it's 5 months from now so there's no telling.

What part of Atlanta are you coming from? Unless you're coming from Alpharetta through traffic I've never taken that long to get down here....lol Of course I do cruise at 85 - 90 on the interstate when going back and forth from there.

Looks to be two or three guys, plus there are several over on bimmerforums as well. I'll crosslink the threads in a month or so to let you guys see if you now anyone else going and make some plans to caravan together. Currently looking for a good spot to have caravans meet right off the interstate so they can be led back to my place.
